Critical Fall Heights
The Critical Fall Height (CFH) is the highest point a child can fall from any given piece of equipment.
Wet pour safety surfacing is designed to reduce the impact of the fall. We don't want to eliminate risk, children learn from mistakes, but we want the worst case scenario to be a few tears and for them to carry on playing.
Our surfacing is certified for use up a CFH of 3100mm and we achieve this by increasing the depth of our base layer which varies from 35mm in thickness right up to 115mm in thickness.
PLAYTOPNZ is extensively tested and certified for not only CFH requirements but meets and exceeds testing for toxicology, abrasion, wheelchair use, ignition, micro plastic migration and much more. When you choose PLAYTOPNZ for your playground surfacing, you are choosing the absolute best for proven safety.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you have around the CFH requirements for your playground or to receive copies of any of our certification.
Children still need to be supervised, and using equipment suited to their age group and ability.
We can help with the planning of your surfacing so it is both aesthetically pleasing and compliant.
